We hope that the Practice Learning Website will be a valuable resource for all those involved in practice learning.
Practice learning is a key area of activity for the Social Work Development team delivered by Skills for Care in partnership with the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC).
The programme heads for practice learning are Helen Keville and Cheryl Wall. They provide a strategic overview for practice learning, supported by the work of the national, regional and sub-regional network and this website provides detailed information about all these activities.
This site was previously the Practice Learning Taskforce website. This key Department of Health funded initiative ran from January 2003 to March 2006 with the purpose of increasing the quantity, quality and diversity of practice learning for the social work degree. The work of the Practice Learning Taskforce is archived on this site for future reference.
