Greater Manchester Learning Resource Network / Greater Manchester Universities required Practice Teacher course for the social work degree 2006/2007

In the absence of National Guidance, the social work degree programmes in Greater Manchester have agreed that in order to take a student on placement the Practice Teacher should undergo assessed training.

Funding has been provided from the Learning Resource Network via Skills For Care North West to support delivery of training, assessment and a register of qualified practice teachers.

This workbook is designed to be used in conjunction with training away from your workplace.

The workbook guides you through the important areas of practice teaching; managing the placement; supervision; reflective practice; teaching and learning; assessment; social work degree programmes and the practice teacher report.
