Objective

To improve the quality of practice learning opportunities, ensuring that the student perspective is incorporated.

The Practice Learning Quality Evaluation Tool (PeLQET) has been designed and developed to evaluate the quality of student practice learning opportunities. The tool is in its pilot stage and will be revised following student feedback.

Feedback gained from the PeLQET pilot will form discussions with some of the key agencies involved in monitoring and evaluating the social work degree.

Outcomes

• An electronic tool that analyses the impact of the learning environment, with wide application
• Publication of an evaluation report highlighting the key focus areas and guidance for improving the quality of the practice learning environment
• Guidance on benchmarking quality of practice learning opportunities, leading to improvement and greater consistency
