Gateway project

This national research project will identify what works in terms of employer's support to individuals and groups to gain access to social work programmes. It is led by the GSCC and being undertaken by the Social Care Workforce Research Unit at Kings College London.

The project aims to:

  • Encourage the further development of appropriate routes to and support through training
  • Strenghten pathways into the social work profession
  • Inform decisions to target under-represented groups to access social work
